The DRUID TRIBE

 

THE HIGH PRIEST and his family- The PEESE clan

The Parents- AHMAN and his wife MERRY

They have three adolescent children- WIND, FIRE and DOVE

- WIND-

      The oldest brother, almost a man, loyal and noble

       in line to inherit the leadership of the tribe

- FIRE-

           A little younger, looks up to his older brother,

           but some sibling rivalry,

           a youth still in search of himself

- DOVE-

          About 16 , long dark hair, a gentle,

          intelligent child of nature- Interested in music,

            Learning to play the flute

            (Alanis Morrisette type)

- JUDAH-

             (Later called Judith and then Judy Garland)

             Female adolescent mate of Wind-

            she is pregnant with his baby-

             young Judy Garland type

 

THE CHIEF HUNTER and his family-

The WARBLE clan

The Parents- CHINOOK and RAIN-

       This clan is a contrast to the rival PEESE family

        They have four adolescent children

- DOM and DEE-

       Fraternal twin brothers- The pride of their father 

       the most skilled hunters

DOM

         is the temperamental, bold leader

DEE

         the less hard-edged follower

- LABAH-

          Friend of DOVE, a little older, slightly irritating,

         somewhat misguided-

          Married to HUN- Expecting a child,

- SUN

            - a little younger, smaller in stature,

           an artful contrast to his older brothers,

            a contemplative, peaceful youth

            He has a secret crush on DOVE,

            yet is intimidated by DOM’s interest

         (He's also GARRAND SHAKESPEARE

           and NOAH GREELEY later)

 

OTHER TRIBE MEMBERS:

-HUN-

        Husband of LABAH, fathers ARPA-

         tribal craftsman a little more stout

           than the other men

         (He's also PETER REMINGTON in 1916

          and JEREMY CAPSTAN in 1966)

-MOTH-

            Young deaf son of LABAH and HUN-

             about four years old Healed by the Hearpe

-THE PRIESTS-

               The traditional tribal leaders

-YUDOC-

           Tribal Doctor who also plays primitive flute-

               teaching DOVE to play the instrument

-MEADE-

          Diminutive hunter and sentry attacked by cat

-FAY-

             shunned Druid- a sailor in 1536-

             Civil war banjo picker

- ASSORTED TRIBE MEMBERS-

         Tribe numbers 75-100 people

 

Some DRUIDS become different characters moving forward through time

OTHER CHARACTERS INTRODUCED IN DIFFERENT ERAS

- SIMON PETER-

            cellmate of WIND in Rome,

              Reappears in other eras

- CAPTAIN THORROW-

          Ship’s captain- 1536 A.D.

- WOODY GUTHRIE-

                American folksinger-

                 accompanies WIND in WWII sequence

Note-

        None of the DRUIDS are meant to be large,

        muscular, “Amazon” types-

          but small to medium in stature-

          as befitting a people whose main concern

          is finding food and surviving in a harsh climate.

 

They are brown-haired Anglo, Caucasian
